The reference photos are the evidence an AI model uses to preserve your identity. A few ordinary, well-lit phone photos are more useful than heavily edited portraits. You do not need a studio. You do need a clear view of your current face.
Five-minute setup
Take the strongest photo first.
- 01Stand facing a window or another soft light source. Avoid direct overhead light.
- 02Place the phone at eye level and use the regular rear camera when possible.
- 03Stand far enough away to avoid wide-angle facial distortion, then frame from chest to just above the head.
- 04Face the camera directly, keep both eyes visible, and use a calm natural expression.
- 05Take several sharp photos, then add one small smile and one broader natural smile.
Photos to include
- At least one current, front-facing photo at eye level
- Both eyes open naturally and looking toward the camera
- The full face visible from hairline through chin
- Soft, even light with natural skin color
- A sharp image from the main phone camera
- Several natural expressions, including a relaxed neutral look and a real smile
Photos to avoid
- Only side-angle or profile photos
- Sunglasses, hats, hands, or hair covering key facial features
- Strong shadows across one side of the face
- Beauty filters, portrait retouching, or altered skin texture
- Group-photo crops or images where the face is very small
- Old photos that no longer represent your current appearance
Why multiple photos help
Consistency reveals identity.
One front-facing image should anchor the set. Additional current photos help confirm details such as face width, cheek volume, hairline, eye shape, and natural expression. Aim for at least three useful photos rather than many low-quality or contradictory ones.
CredibleShot safeguard
An unsuitable face photo stops the process.
CredibleShot requires a verified front-facing identity photo. If both eyes and the full face are not clearly visible, the upload must be corrected before generation proceeds. This protects identity quality and prevents avoidable face changes.
